I am a registered nurse based in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in aesthetic nursing since 2012. Over the past 13 years, I have worked primarily in cosmetic dermatology alongside leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons. In 2021, I achieved board certification by passing the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Exam, becoming one of only 600 Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialists in the United States.

I currently see patients in clinic at Infinity Medspa in Santa Clarita, CA and Numedspa in Encino, CA. 

​

In 2022, I founded Marisa Amechi Aesthetics LLC, dedicated to delivering high-quality aesthetic training through private sessions, group classes, virtual coaching, and online courses. I train aesthetic clinicians in a variety of procedures, including neurotoxin and dermal filler injections, microneedling, energy-based devices, and lasers. I also serve as a national trainer for Lumenis Aesthetics.

That same year, I co-founded Skin of Color Aesthetics, an educational platform focused on safely and effectively treating ethnic skin types. My work has taken me across the country, where I’ve spoken at numerous aesthetic conferences on best practices for treating diverse skin tones.

I am passionate about helping new aesthetic clinicians navigate the complicated world of aesthetics, preventing clinicians from getting scammed by large training companies and to help new nurses jump start their aesthetic career.

My Background:

I hail from the beautiful city of Thousand Oaks, California, where I spent my formative years. I proudly graduated from Catholic La Reina High School in the Class of 1999 and later completed my studies at Los Angeles Pierce College, earning my degree in Spring 2010.

My journey into the world of aesthetics began with a deep-rooted desire to help others look and feel their best. Before transitioning into this field, I gained valuable experience as a Home Health nurse, providing care to homebound patients transitioning from hospital stays.

Since 2012, I've been immersed in the dynamic realm of aesthetics, training under esteemed dermatologists and plastic surgeons. The opportunity to blend my passion for nursing with the artistry of aesthetics felt like a natural fit for me.

Every day on the job is a joy, fueled by my genuine passion for empowering individuals to embrace their beauty and confidence. I firmly believe that looking good can uplift spirits and enhance overall well-being, and I'm dedicated to helping my patients achieve just that.

In my practice, I prioritize building genuine connections with my patients, taking the time to understand their unique goals and concerns. My approach to cosmetic treatments is guided by the principle that "good work is not seen; you only notice the bad work." I strive for subtle, natural-looking results that enhance my patients' features while preserving their individuality.

Earning certification as an Aesthetic Specialist in 2021 was a significant milestone in my career journey. This achievement, attained through rigorous training and examination, has further solidified my commitment to excellence in aesthetic nursing. I'm honored to be among the select few RNs in the Santa Clarita Valley and one of only 400 nurses nationwide to hold this esteemed certification.
