Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
CANS certification credentialed by ISPAN.org and Plastic Surgical Nursing Board. The CANS certification is the only aesthetic certification in the US. Requirements are a minimum of 2 years of aesthetic experience, a passing grade on the exam, physician endorsement, and supervision under a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, otolaryngologist, facial plastic surgeon. There are only 400 CANS nurses in the United States.
